I have a set of 17x9.5 +15 rims that I will be putting on a Evo 8 and am not sure what tire size will fit this car the best. I have done some reading already and don't know what to pick (to many choices), im not looking for crazy expensive tires just something to DD in. I just have my rear fenders rolled and looking to lower the car quite a bit. Im looking for a good safe stretch nothing to huge. I would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks Jon

just a baseline. if you dont want that much stretch go a little wider like 215 or 225.
Hopefully all your fenders are rolled. My friends Evo 8 was running 18x9.5 +15 with a 235/40 or 225/40 (cant exactly remember). However, you should be fine with a 225/40 fasure on them, if your going a lot lower.. Get some Sumitomo HTR Z-III tires.
Hell, you will be fine with even a 235/40 on them as seen here for example: http://www.wrongfitmentcrew.com/forum/showthread.php?1067-freshjuicebox-the-new-stance

i'd go 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 depending on the brand you're going with. If it's a brand that runs wide, get the 215's. If they are true, 225's will be good.

I'm running 235's on that same width wheel on my evo (although 18's, not 17's) rears need to be rolled and the rear bumper mount moved if you are going really low.
