I have been using a canon 20d.. I know its an old body but I love the feel of it. I was thinking of picking up a nikon body just to see how diff is it to a canon. My budget is around 300-400. What body would u recommend me? I was thinking of picking up a d60 but not sure how good it is. any suggestions?

The D5000 is a great camera. This is what I use when my brother and I shoot weddings. I carry a D40 with me all the time in the Z...my brother uses a D90 for the weddings/events we shoot. But he is about to buy the new D7000....which means the D90 will be mine :)

However, OP...you won't find a D5000 for 300-400.

I like my d90, but I kinda wish I went canon they have a larger scale of lens and I know alot of people with canon so I could borrow their lens lol. It's preference though either one works

I've heard good things about the D3000 just no video with it, but IIRC the D3100 has video. Soo depends on that.

honestly, id stay with canon, no need to switch brands just because you want to "try it out". however, if you dont have an investment in canon lenses, then it wouldnt do much damage to switch brands now.

id only want the 85mm f1.2 lens, nikon only has the f1.4 version
