hey guys im looking into picking up a set of 18x9.5 et20 rims. how much fender work am i going to have to do? if any? and what size tires would you recommend running? oh and im lowered on F&F type 1

^^ Roll your fenders. Some people have a "slight" pull on their setups. As far as tire size, some people are running 225/40, 215/40, and even 215/35. Really is a personal preference on tire size. Depends on how much stretch you want on your setup and from there you will see how much fender work is needed. Keep in mind, your ride height comes into play with all of this as well.

Definitely a roll in the future. When we did mine I got a little pull too but it was more from the technique than on purpose.

^^You will need an extra hand. A pipe/bat and a heat gun or torch would suffice.

Fender rolling, really depends on the person who does it and has the roller on hand. Where I am from I have seen anywhere from $25 per corner to $35 per corner.

depends how low you wanna go cause my fronts are rolled flat rears small roll for now till i get my spacers then pull. as for tire i run 215/40 and at my hight it rubs but thats the price you pay when you wanna go low. 215/35 will slam your car to the ground. 215/40 rides really nice. i have 18x9.5 +30 all around.

I'd go with a 20mm or 25mm but that's me haha...You'd need longer studs though. My 17x10's or 10.5(Haven't decided on final size yet) that I'm picking up will be +2 all around

I dont want that much camber in the back so when i lock it in to say 1º or 2º it will hold that stance til i find a rough highway in the city or that lucky railroad track. The arm is fine its the bolt that you use to adjust the arm. The arm pivots from the bolt with a lobe on it with a washer with adjustments marker on it. Just gona get a new bolt, adjustment washer, and nut and see if that does the fix if not im going with a camber kit with new arms and bolts. Its that time of year where im at when it snows and its icey alot. Madd camber aint a good look in snow

yeah i took it apart to check it out. The nuts had some shaving in it which i blame on the last alignment i let firestone do. They are striped more than likely but i can tighten them down pretty good but as i noticed when i got home wasnt good enough lol gonna order a new set from toyota like $20 for each side and see.

Also I have a question, I have the spc camber kit for the front but never installed it and I dont even know If I still have it. But I read a pdf before on how to adjust the rear camber and toe, But If its not going to make a difference with a stock will and no spacer should I still do it? Im near rim tucking on a stock wheel :P

Yeah my last set was 18x9 et5. But I wanted to go lower so 17's it is!! :D Also I just found out they're 17x9.5 My friend forgot to take into a count he gave the wheels a wider lip.

My buddy has like 4 sets. He's selling another set fully polished with red caps and gold bolts. 17x9 et20 if you want :D But you need a adapter to rock them, because they're 5x114.3

AFAIK there hasn't been a roof spoiler made yet. There was talk of one developing one on Scikotics earlier this year but I haven't seen much on it for a while. Also I think I remember reading about someone using a M3 style spoiler for a Cavalier as a tC roof spoiler. Maybe on YSTC?

I might do that when I get the bigger lips. But the adapter gives me great offset lol. It's sitting me at -5 right now :D Either way I know I'll be running 17x10 and 17x11 in a couple of months unless I start working on my S2k.

i fixed my toe, but i cant get to the rear camber bolt...i might have to buy a deep well 1/2 inch 17mm socket, but not sure if that would solve the problem, any buddy got any tips?

running rear 18x9 et13 225/40 -3.6camber

right now the metal piece of the rear bumper is sitting on top of tire. i pull the rear bumper tab out but the metal is the problem. i hammer but it goes no wear. anyway to pull the fender out a bit so it stops rubbing. really dont want to raise the car lol

The reason I'm going with 205-50 in the rear is because with the stretch on a 9.5 it's going to round out. Kinda hard to explain but it'll be more of a VIP type stretch then your traditional stretch you see on other cars. I have a guy who gets me tires for dirt cheap. Worst comes to worst, if I don't like it I'll just get new ones.

I think you should save your money for aggressive wheels. Don't mess with spacers on stock 7" wide wheels. Looks goofy IMO.

Check out what 09socalTC's wheel specs on SL. He's running 17x10 at like +28 or something. I feel like you would need a lower offset than +35 to clear the suspension. But I dunno. :shrug:

Hey Just had a couple of question regarding your camber setup:

1.How much camber are you using for your rear and fronts?

2. Did you use a camber kit or did you just bring it
to the alignment shop, and asked for negative camber?

3. Does a tc even need a camber kit?!

I bought some 20mm spacers for my grids..I put em on and I went 2 feet and rubbed like a mother.
So I def need to camber to fit.

Right now I have my rears rolled about half way. I'm just a little stuck.
