Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone with a wrx/sti has any experience with megan coilovers

A guy offered me a set of almost new megan coils for a bunch of stuff i have laying around, so it's an awesome deal for me, but I need to be sure that they go low enough.

I dont want to waste my time on this trade if it's not going to get LOW, If they dont do what I want I'll just wait a month or two and buy BC's, or even longer and man up on the Stance.

Just looking for some input, maybe pictures. I know there aren't a ton of suby's on here, but i obviously couldn't post this on nasioc.

I have some megans, I can tuck 255 and 245's on 18's. No noise and have given me the adjustment I need to run the width 9.5.
Are there better coils on the market....yes. It comes down to how much you want to spend. For me, they work and work well. Do I eventually
plan to getting some Ohlins...yes. But thats down the road.

I ran them on my old WRX and on my STI now. So In all i've put about 4-5 years on Megans coilovers. No problems and they ride good. They can go real Low if you want them to, and they are adjustable and all that. Good street coilovers.

Well they're on, and look good, but one problem. I bought them used and i can't get the bottom ring loose to adjust the height, and I'm not able to get flush without getting it about half an inch lower. Anyone have any ideas for how to get the ring loose after not being used for several years?

soak it with some pb blaster, let it sit for 5 minutes then give it a try.

use the key and hit the ring with a rubber hammer =D
