I think sprint works better back home than tmobile to. I heard you can use sprint to use verizon's 4g and use it unlimited as home internet for free but iunno how to make all that work. Both are good deals. I think tmobile will be slightly cheaper but fuuuuu, so hard.

agreed. The biggest kicker for me is which one works back home. I suspect sprint will because they roam on verizon towers (we have lots of) and tmobile has really spotty reception here but has the option of using wifi to make calls.

Cost of living here is pretty harsh. And doing that while going to school by yourself is going to suck out here. But, that depends what area of Cali you were to go though.

I'd pretty much recommend anyone to live in Norcal and Socal at least once in there life. I don't think I could ever leave Cali now. I was born in N.C. but left when I was 9. I grew up in the Bay Area, and I moved to Los Angeles 5 years ago. I think it offers so much. Give it a shot. It did take me about a year to get used to LA after moving from the Bay Area. I love the Bay so much, and LA just seems to harsh/cut throat at times. There came a point when I realized I live in motherfuckin Los Angeles... and it's the dopest place I could think of. Literally everything happens here... or you can make anything happen here. You really just have to do you here because most people don't give a damn about you anyways. But I have met some of the coolest people here too.

Ill probly be staying around here for school for a year or so anyways, a fresh start just sounded nice, and if I was ever to leave texas, california would be the only place id care to live. Saw this old post and thought I'd help if you haven't found a good program for yourself. I recommend Final Cut Pro if you want ease of use and AVID MC5 if you want more features but its a bit more touchy to use.
