they have two puncture holes in the sidewall of both...hopefully i can exchange them for some less sexy ones =/

cracked sidewalls...what I experienced with dry tires.

i buy used tires alot, so i always check the age/manufacture date on the sidewall (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11).

some of my last used tire buys (craigslist and various car forums):
2 x 225/40/18 falken 912 with 60% tread for $25
2 x 225/40/18 nankang ns2 with 99% tread for $120 (not that great of a deal, but oh well)
2 x 215/40/18 falken 452 with 95% tread for $140
2 x 215/40/18 nankang as1 with 90% tread for $60

yeah the 2 bridgestone potenzas i got for 30 bucks barley fit my rim(technically dont)...but like you cant beat that unless they are free ha

all my tires have had at least 70 percent tread left and ive bought a bunch and ive never paid more than 25 a tire for lowpros

just got some 225/40/18 dunlop sport maxx on my wagon, $40 a piece (mounted/balanced) ... about 90% tread left! whoo! :cool:

^^^ that size is prob not common, but check out Bears tires in miramar, and Powers Tires has 2 locations ... i got those $40 dunlops from teh location by sdsu, and they got 1 more down in national city, by 30th st (or somewhere down in teh ghetto ... lol)
