i just recently purchased a mk1 golf cabriolet, i only paid $350 for it.
yet to be delivered to my house but i've already got some plans for it.
1st goal is to run aggressive fitment, but with that i have a few queries, such as, what suspension parts should i purchase to rail it?, what size and offset wheel?

if there is any mk1 golf owners out there that can help out with my dilemma i would love to hear your thoughts.
shall post pics when i get the car.

well im about as close as youre gonna get here i think, mkII jetta dood here. id say roll with some rokkors or racelands ( same shock body, rokkors have stiffer springs) they are dirt cheap, and massively popular amon vw guys cause they go mad low. i personally run fk Streetlines, they run about $550, but ride a bit better, not super bouncy. just make sure to cut the bump stops in half, and you may need to remove the helper springs to really slam it. im not sure 100% on ofsets, but run 14's or max 15's in maybe a 7.5 +15 or +10. maybe even a 8 et +20. youre deffinetly gonna have to roll the piss out of your fenders and if you want to get really agressive, pull them. i cant really say as far as tires go tho... maybe check out vwvortex.com, they hava a dedicated mkI section and are pretty fitment friendly.
hope this helps
