^ haha that's a buddy of mine. even though its 18x11 they have such tiny lips. they are "okay" rims...his flares make up for it hahaha.

aftermarket flares on top of already wide factory fenders always looks weird to me. it doesn't flow with the body lines of the car at all. maybe thats just me though. its like a cheap easy way to try and fit wide wheels.

527s....ugly as fuck! I can't stand xxr's at all. I'm ok with a rota from time to time or the varrstoens I had, but personally, I don't think I'd ever buy reps again. The quality of build for a "Real" wheel is second to none.

I'm with you. I haven't been a big fan of the Karlton flare. I just don't think it looks right. Question, are most of the guys running them actually cutting the fenders for added clearance or are they just slapping on flares on factory fenders for the wide look?

The majority of the people I've seen that run the flares are doing them for the added clearance and cutting the fenders. Most of them are auto-x'ers or time-attackers just looking for that extra grip. They're a good budget mod to get that extra clearance. For a "looks" car that doesn't see the track, I'd much rather see a rear fender that matches the aggressiveness of the front.
