lol you cant take out your frame rails. You mean subframe? You can but i wouldnt suggest it. Your car will have no support and if you get in an accident.. yeah end of story. Just let it hit or raise the car.

There are none here. Zero fitted cars in Juneau. Period.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend that. I think I remember what you're talking about with someone removing them, but it's probably not the greatest decision.
I know a lot of VW guys remove sway bars, but I think subframe would be a bit excessive. I agree with Abbitt, just let it scrape.

I think Mr. Hashi took his subframe out when he did his swap? I remember reading that but def not 100% sure.
I've been thinking of doing the same thing.
OR cutting it, and having it re welded in, but higher and flater, like the Minitrucker guys do.
I'm like 1/8" from laying frame and I need to be at least 1/2" lower up front.
Let me know what you find out. haha

Not sure if something like the Oswald Subframe (http://www.oswaldperformance.com/Pag...TSUBFRAME.aspx) is a option. He custom makes each one so maybe there's a way to make it to retain some rigidity but gain some clearance?

Might not be worth it for a part that you'll most likely wreck anyway.

I'd bend or crack my wheel way too easily cuz as much as I avoid shit already, theres always the holes or cracks you don't see. And I like some function haha and I'll sell this whole setup in late winter/spring anyway
i run a 215/40 on a 9 Wirtz and were in the same city. I wouldnt go any smaller.. doesnt look the greatest and i have to ride higher than id like (dont want to pull fenders).. but like u said.. our streets are dangerous, esp if youre driving through the city or downtown
