Mobile1 full synthetic 5w30 (or whatever the Subaru recommend oil is). No issues with the oil, aroun 10k miles on the daily driver(3 changes). I would definitely recommend it to others.

I used nothing but Motul and an OEM filter in the subaru. Now that I've got the audi I was anything that's VW 502 certified and an OEM filter.

I use the Mazda 0-20w full Synthetic Oil w/ oem filter. next oil change I might change it to something else. any recommendations?

I've always used Mobil 1 Synthetic 10w30 and Mobil 1 filters. Car's been running fine and hasn't burned much oil if any. Not sure why the nasioc guys do to their cars.

because it possibly the worst Synthetic oil you could ever run in a Subaru motor... the boxer motor likes to eat up that oil like gravy, and blow up motors because of it.

use something else... anything else... for the love of god people get it through your heads

NASIOC has a bunch of threads about the side effects of Mobil 1. Of course not everyone sees the side effects, but they've probably never done an UOA. For the most part majority of Mobil 1 analysis shows shearing to a lower viscosity quicker than any other synthetic oils, which may lead to engine failure (spun bearings) from prolong usage.

I'll always suggest Rotella T6 or German Castrol over Mobil 1.

just switched it over from Mobil 1 to Rotella T6. world of a difference.
also went from getting 22mpg to 28mpg

anybody used this MOTUL 8100?

I am considering it for my E90. I need to go with a LL-01 approved oil (bmw long life standard oil) if I want to keep my 15k change intervals. The Motul 8100 is considered an upgrade from the already synthetic BMW LL-01. I hear some goods things about it. I've even seen it pick up a 4whp on a dyno video over another syn oil haha...

Im using Motul 5w40 in my 07 Mazdaspeed 3. Ive only had the car for about 6 months so cant attest to what was put in before, but I wanted a heavier weight for the smoking turbo problems that arise in the early Speed 3's.
