    Default Lug nuts/locks...

I'm looking for lug nuts...something specific. I thought there was a type that spins freely (so you cant unbolt them), until you use the "key" on 'em.

Has anybody heard of that? Where can I find these...what are they called.

Also...what do you guys recommend as high security lugs? I've seen just about everything be defeated by a thief...so what does everyone here trust for wheel security?

If they want to steal the wheels they will be stolen, but getting wheel locks is always good too. I dont know what kimd of locks youre talking about but just try to look for ones made out of steel cause aluminum ones strip prettty easily.

my project kics are 2 piece and the part where it touches the wheel spins freely so it doesnt damage teh wheels, is that what youre referring to?

and as stated above, thieves will steal it if htey want it badly enough. even if u used 5 kinds of keys per wheel ... they can and will get around that

    BUY WFC DECALS!!!

How much are those project kics. What's your opinion on Muteki SR35 I found some on ebay for 50 shipped for 20. So, you have project kics locks?

Unclear, I think you are talking about the gorilla guard lock, the outer ring spins so you can't just jam a socket on. http://www.gorilla-auto.com/gorilla.locks

Locks are the best thing you can do for security against someone who didn't come prepared to steal your wheels but rather "stumbled upon them." Your greatest defense is to integrate a system within your alarm called a "Tilt 360 Degree Sensor." Read up, my friend:

Combine the 2 (locks and sensor) and you'll be golden like a shower...

Yeah...I spent all day online, and finally found the same sets.

Thnx for the help tho...what do you think of those?

Like EvilCF said...if they want em, they'll get em. But is it worth spending for the "idea" of security?

"Magnetic" Locks. Sposedly pretty good, was going to order a set, but they don't fit/clear extended studs.

There's a video or 2 around if you look on the Google machine and a decent write up too.

I think those spinning locks are pretty smart, although my friend got them off somehow when he lost his key.

Loll...that's the craziness I can't get over. Why isn't there something genuinely secure for something so simple?

The people who leave a car on bricks, cinder blocks, and 2x4s are the people I'm worried about...and it happens so often around here, you'd think they taught it in shop class.

I love the tilt sensor idea though! That may be the way to go for me.

I talked to an installer yesterday, and he recommended installing two of em...1 in front, 1 in back.

    I might do that.
