So like Everone else here, I have a problem driving a car with 4x4 status. So I decided to raid the '85 for some parts...
So I ended up with this stuff...
I was making good time so I decided to rip some crap off the '91 as well...
It a two step process to get the car back down...
Ahh, much better 8)

I think this is goon to be a pretty good ride height. It doesn't need to be as low as my GTI. Now I have to play the spacer game to get the wheels to sit flush. I also have to try and find a solution to prevent my a-arms from bottoming out on the k-member and the axle tube from bottoming out on the inner fender. And that's happening without bumpstops, I've got about .5"-1" of clearance. At the same time I have to prevent the dampers from bottoming out, in other words I need more strut/shock travel. Currently I'm trying to find a shorter strut/shock solution but I'm not coming up with many options. The Koni 8610/8611 seem like a possibly option up front, but iver never dealt with inserts before. For the rear i might use Koni 30 series shocks, but ill have to figure out how to mount them, they come with a rod end for both upper and lower mounting points but thr upper stock upper mount just goes the the floorboard with a nut/washer threaded onto the shock shaft. I'm finding that it's a lot more difficult to slam a 3rd gen F-Body than my GTI was.
