Repairing Chrome FINISHED (not dipped) Wheels... Recommendations Please!

...so I have some good and bad news. Good news is I'm possibly picking up some XD9s in Work's Metal Buff finish. Bad news is they're fairly damaged with curbage not only on the lip but face as well. Any who the price is right and the seller seems legit.

So my question is this: in your experience(s) how much does it cost to repair chrome-finished wheels? I figure I'd ask here first since tomorrow is a holiday and most places will be closed.

I would think that you would have to get the wheel rechromed....essentially it is black chrome

well i think i'm a n00b here: the difference between chrome finish and chrome dipping eludes me lol. i'm basically just trying to find out if anyone has a wheel repair man that they prefer with decent prices...
