Default The big Air Suspension thread!

I haven't found a dedicated thread on Air Suspension so hopefully this will bring light to those that want some insight and help. Discuss your setups and post pictures if you have it!

    Full Air
    Coilover/Air
    Strut/Air
Cup Kits (I know some don't consider it air)
    Anything else?

i'm a total air noob. what happens to the car's alignment with air suspension? do you get it aligned at a certain height, and does it stick after airing out then going back up?
Not hellaflush nor sortaflush. Just flush.

yes u have to get it alined at a certain height. whatever u feel u want to drive at ride height. after that it will be alined no matter how many times ur raise and slam it. will only go out of alinement the normal way a regular car does.

I would definitely go with air lift kit if we're talking about Subaru's.
I have the D2 kit, and while it's awesome, if I had the chance I would've gone air lift.
You get all the lowness, and adjustability benefits of the D2, but airlift knows bag construction and setup way better.
A point you may not take into account is replacement cost.
From looking at the air lift kit, they use a standard double bellowed bag, that can be had for roughly $90 and shipped to you same day.
The D2 kit uses a specially made "crimped" bag that takes a week or more to ship (at $100 for air mail) and costs $200 or more before shipping.

Both the airlift and D2 kits have been developed very well.
My car handles really well- and I'm sure you've seen that video of Air Lifts 500whp bagged Sti! lol
I actually ride lower than I did on coils, and it's plenty comfortable. My D2 kit has adjustable dampening and height, just like a coilover. lol
When I get a chance this weekend or next week, I'll take some pictures of my setup and post up here.
