Not fixed yet, Took the sway bars out of the car completely and handled nothing at all... CAlled Stance they are sending me all new pillow ball mounts and we are starting there and going on to see what it could all be...
Did you ever get your problem fixed? I would have guessed the top hat to strut nut issue as well, but it seems you already tried that.

i had a super weird noise on my TSX kinda sounds like what your going though BUT i dont know much about Scoob suspension setup. come to find out it was out of my control arms hitting my upper camber kit. mteal on metal... on the bypass/interstate nothing no noise @ all but going 35-40 every single bump would clank i tried everything and i had to grind a little bit off my camber kit and it was completely fixed!! it didn't start making that noise till i went super low
Your Not Doin It Right
Hmm how were you able to discover that it was hitting? I will have to look into that for sure. Also I replaced the pillow ball mounts, and the vehicle was silent for about 30 mileage and now clunking again. The subaru people that are super low, how are you there. Did you raise your lower bracket way up? Or did you drop the spring down? Stance states never to drop your spring down. I have my spring dropped. So I will have to tighten the spring up and raise the lower bracket. Maybe that will help me out? Just not sure how there is any possible clearance when raising the bracket up to be that low.
Any insight pictures or help would be amazing. Thanks.

This is not my exact coilover this is just for demonstration. I have the collars dropped down to give me my low, I was told by stance to keep the spring up and tight, and to raise the lower black bracket up on my coilover to give my my low. I feel like this is an axle and clearance issue... Any insight..?

Yes, if you drop the strut though the bracket far enough it will rest on and tear your CV boot. Just drop it as much as you can with it touching and it will be ok.

Alright that is my next plan of attack and then hopefully with the bracket being raised and the spring being tighter it will not knock so bad.

I wasn't clunking on my old tein flex. But when i threw on a set of Megans, i had a loud clunk too. The culprit for my clunk was that the main strut to top hat nut was loose. As soon as I tightened it, it went away.

the real question is why would you ask a question related to car stuff in the one forum section not for car stuff? I don't get it
moved.
