    Default Pulling Fenders

    Hey guys,
Any of you have any tips and what not about pulling fenders???
My buddy has a fender roller already so were gonna use that to roll my fenders but
what's the best way to pull them?

depends on how your wheel and tire combo and how your fenders come from factory. post up a pic for better reference

all depends on the car you have

    but when you pull fenders

go for the pull off the bat

go ahead an get the roll started bend the lip upwards as you would a regular fender roll

then angle the roller for the desired pull and slowly apply pressure until desired pull

TIP: it will become harder and harder as you pull more fender never crank the roller at a dead stop make sure when applying pressure, enough pressure to pull that the fender roller is moving

use alot of heat take your time and good luck

its not extremely difficult but both sides of the rear quarter panels tend to buckle under high pressure. another thing i will add is a pull, flare, is not completely necessary for an agressive fitment. but there is a ton of modifications needed to ensure easier fitment which deals more with cutting sections of the insides of the wells.

this is my flare on my mz3 which has slightly thinner panels then the ms3.

with all the modifications i have done i was able to fit 18x9.5 +30 225/40 all around with no problem.

    1. phone book
    2. heat gun

jacked the car up with the wheel attached. heat up inside and outside of fender...not too hot to where paint melts. place phone book on top of tire. drop the jack slowly. voila...fenders pulled. i only did this after rolling. it worked better than the roller to pull. <<<this is for an EXTREME fender pull. otherwise...i would do what albert said. oh ya...clean the hell out of those fenders too before rolling. if you don't...all that debris will cause the fenders to start looking wavy. goodluck!

yea more info on the phonebook fender pull. I want to run a more aggressive setup, maybe another 15mm but im already rubbing as is. thinking of pulling them with the phonebook trick. Thing is wouldn't a phonebook pull it too much? its pretty thick lol and i want my wheels to be as close to the fenders without rubbing. Megaboi please give more details!!!

KennyMo i assume you drop the car then have someone jump up and down in the trunk or something.

nah dude just go for it, if you dont rush it and try to get it done all at one time youll be fine, just keep that shit nice and warm when your workin with it so you can mold it to what you want, take a break throw the wheel back on and see where you need to go from there. I rolled my front fenders on monday actually and it took me all of about 2 and a half hours but it came out amazing. my rears i rolled and pulled and it took me about 3-4 hours including all my breaks because i cant stay focused on something for too long haha it drives me nuts

Pics? Keen to see the result, did you do the rolling with a heater and phone books? Or with a roller?

im doing this phonebook fender pull now, doesn't seem to work. fenders are hot to the touch but it doesn't seem to budge using a heat gun as well.

i used a soft piece of wood, look like a leg off a kitchen table to roll the fenders on my 09 Wrx and when I got done it actually pulled the fenders out about 3-5mm but looks good, my front wheels actually look thinner cus the fenders were pulled a lil much but I have no rubbing issues at all
