    Default alaskan wrx

yeup another wrx in the mix. i've been lurking for along time. talked to a few of you and posted a few pics. been wanting to get more involved with the community here since i left nazioc figured i'ld start a thread and show a bit more in depth of the build.

sorry in advance some pictures are good some are crap

    the beginning...

    then some change ups

motor popped and i had a raw one block kicking around for an old gc project i was gonna do but under the circumstances i threw it in the wrx got rid of the gc and started focusing on the wrx. pretty much got the car back up and running and then the tranny crapped out on me. so that's when i said screw it threw it up on the jack stands and went to it.

car is complete dynamited and has a full stereo. my gc was gutted not a fan of that crap any more wanted something quieter and an overall better driving experience if you will

    90's and faced

on to the main reason we're here

Looks good! The only thing I really don't like on it are the tinted tail lights.....04/05s would look much better IMO

Wow man, you did some real work to this thing!
Digging it a lot. The tailights could go- but you said you had that figured out.
Lower or a 255/35 might make a bit of difference in fender to tire clearance.
    Those seats are SICK.

Looks like you spent a pretty penny on some quality parts, but why Rotas?

Hyphy - the plastic they came in are still wrapped aroundthem since im not driving the car yet lol.

Soundbomber - being in alaska the summer wheels are on the car maybe end of april till late september if im lucky. Ild love to have a set of true re30s but at the time i purchased these as well as the debate i still have is having to justify spending that much coin on a wheel ill be lucky to rock for half a year. Not only the fact that theres always that much snow but it takes them to end of june to get all the roads cleared of gravel. The color way (even though it goes againt my previous statement of gravel) just popped for me and yeah i could have them powder coated. So it was either drop a bunh of cash down on wheels run them for half a year and worry about having gravel trash them or get the rotas and then take the extra cash saved an dthrow it into the car else where. Ive got another set of real wheels that ive been toying with the idea of picking up but its kinda of down the road after the new motor is finished and in the car. I was talkin with rubaru a bit ago about the roads up here and i know everyones excuse about having bad roads but at my current height (which isnt even super crazy low) ill drag the skid plate all the way down the road if im in the ruts. Lol

Yea I don't blame you. I was stationed in Fairbanks for 3 years......sucked. People don't realize they don't use salt on the roads they use freakin rocks...lol. The gravel would tare some nice wheels up. Looks good!

subiechik - fairbanks is rough! summers are killer up there but eh f winter time lol. the tuner community up there is way better than here in anchorage i think though. they're definitely more of a tight nit group of people. it's been two years since i've been up there though.

no worries hipster. lol not like they're super secret one of wheels or anything. i had already loved the re30's and then seeing tay's car oh man... SOLD

tay you have a front row seat to the build already ! lol something have been changed finished some wiring since the last we've talked and some parts came in and more on the way.

danny - statusracing.com or email michael at michael@statusracing.com if you go to the website towards the bottom they have the standard configuration and then there's the status icon button which is where it will allow you to fully customize the seat the way you want. it's been awhile since i've been on there but i know they just released a reclinable as well which will have options for you to customize

my new inner cooler core showed up today. hopefully i don't have to change too many water lines to make it fit since the last one ended up being a little bit too big for my taste. hopefully some more parts will show up soon to get this damn thing finished.... for now.

Yea....there was quite a few car enthusiasts there. I enjoyed the meetups on the weekends during the summer. Some real nice cars.....and quite a few not so nice lol
When my husband took me down to Anchorage for the weekend I said lets go find some cars. Seems like no one parks.....everyone just cruises around the same block all night

Hahaha the "strip". We dont really do that anymore police didnt like that too much and when we we stop somewhere they would pop up and boot us out of multiple place. Found a new place that was privately owned so they leave us alone now. We cruise but its not like that anymore. My mom used to "cruise the strip" when she was in highshool. Lol. Shits been around for awhile.

Car looks great man. Kudos to you for having a low car in Alaska. I always watch the show Alaska State Troopers and think to myself "man, I wonder if there's any kind of car scene up there?" I suppose there is!

ahhh fuckin a... that show is a joke lol. all that shit is out in the villages not even close to anchorage. you have to fly into where they are. and when the say they're in the "valley" or palmer. they're in the waaay outskirts. that show and the sarah palin show makes ak look like we all live in igloos and shit. the scene is kinda weird. like the shows we don't have just import or anything specific. most shows have everything from classics, exotics, to imports.

got some more parts in. mainly fittings to finish the fuel system. and these harnesses for the time being
