looks like I can get a decent ride height with these but we'll find out.
the previous owner forgot to give me the spanner wrenches so there's also that. I took a pic of the front collar earlier today swapping wheels I'll put that up later

    Thanks mate.
I've got a couple of ideas on where I wanna take the car but they're in two opposite directions.
    Regardless it'll have fitment

a little update on the S2000.
Finished my soft top (finally). It fucking sucked and it's still missing a few interior pieces but at this point I could care less. I can actually drive it.

This is where the car's headed so far:

    next up are tires

I forgot I have this thread.
Well I wanted to go brick squad and tuck tires but apparently the Stance GR+ pros I have won't let me go low unless I take collars out and/or go with shorter springs. I'm too lazy to go through all that work and the coilovers were already on the car so I said fuck it.
I'm maxed out in the rears currently with about half a pinky finger gap. So I guess for now I'll enjoy the functional side of life until I figure out what I wanna do with the car as far as going back to fitment goes.

Here's how the car is sitting currently. Thanks to Quan (Evoked Photography) for the awesome pictures.

Forgot I had this thread. Trying to make forums great again so here I am.

So a few things have happened in the last 2 years as you can imagine. My last post for some reason doesn't show my photoshoot with Quan so I'm reposting those pictures below:

Over the winter I sold the RPF1s to get something different. Came across a set of Blitz 01 in the perfect S2000 specs 17x9 +38 all around
Still sticking with grippy style meaty specs with 215/45/17 fronts and 245/40/17

At this point I was going to sell the car to move on with my life and be a more responsible adult so I had Quan do a final photoshoot, but ended up keeping it for a little bit longer

After I decided I wanted to keep the car I found a set of Regamasters I could not say no to. So the Blitz were sold and I picked up the wheels I had been wanting for so many years

    17x9 +38
    225/45 front
    255/40 rear

    Meaty bois

It was after H2Oi I had discovered rust forming on the rocker panels. From what everyone had told me, it's not bad, but by my standards it was absolutely crushing considering rust is my absolute biggest pet peeve. So I found this to be an opportunity to get body work done and make this into my dream S2000, making it a dual purpose track and street car. I had gone through some extensive planning to price out all the parts and labor I would need make sure that I can do this within a reasonable budget that won't break the bank. But, unfortunately the adult in me kicked in again and decided to sell the car before I fully commit to what would be a financially irresponsible decision so I sold the car after 3 years of ownership. This was supposed to be my "keep forever car" but because of where I am in life I decided to let it go. I still miss this car to this day.

As of April, I have purcahsed an E36 M3 and will be carrying out the same plan as I had for the S2000 to make it a dual purpose track and street car, but will not cost anywhere near as much.

I kept the regamasters and they will be going on the M3, some shots of the test fits I did. I still have some things I need for them to properly fit on the car

For now, I've got some additional maintenance things that needs to be done for the car to be in perfect running condition, but because of traveling and other life things, funds are short so I'll be taking my sweet ass time with this thing.

    Thanks buddy
I promised myself the next fun car I buy will be another s2000. Considering I go through cars like girls go through shoes, the fact that I've kept the s2000 for 3 years and planned on keeping it forever says a lot of things. I highly recommend everyone to drive one at least once in their life time.

Definitely wish I had some more power in the M3, but we got shafted in the US with these cars.
I can't wait to put the regas one

I've got some long term plans for this thing to get more power, keep it N/A and a 6 speed, pretty much euro spec. That grippy fitment is life.

I feel like Regamasters and RS' look good on virtually anything. I have a soft spot for BMWs so I'm excited to see this evolve.

Grippy fitment is magnificent. Capture his essence. And I like the sounds of the Euro-esque USDM N/A

I'm basically making it a bastard child. Euro-esque, USDM N/A with some Japanese flavor.

Ran into some stupid issues with the car, typical of a 90s BMW. It's not a huge deal, but I'm just too lazy to deal with it.
The traction control light and the ABS light came on together and they're not going away, eventually followed by a CEL for a P0500 which is a speed sensor code. Could be as easy as replacing one or even all the speed sensors, or could be the ABS module that's gone bad. Looked up some solutions on youtube and one person said it best, without a code scanner, it's like walking in blind trying to fix the issue so right now I'm avoiding driving the car.

Been really lazy with the car just driving it and enjoying it until these stupid issues popped up. However I do have some things in the works: a buddy of mine is going to be making me a custom catback exhaust, fabricate me a pair of rear camber arms so I can be one step closer to making the regas fit, and replacing the rubber flex joint that connects the transmission and the driveshaft. Just waiting for him to give me the green light so I can collect funds and collect the parts I need to to get everything going.

Update on this thread, although not really much, don't have any pictures. Just trying to keep the forum active:

After multiple attempts of trying to track down a BMW specific scanner to see what was going on with my car, I bit the bullet and ordered 2 rear speed sensors (they were cheap af) to see if they would fix the issues. I started with the passenger rear side because that's the most common place those sensors go bad. Youtube made this job look WAY easier than it actually was, and all of the DIY videos did not compensate for the fact that these sensors can get stuck in there pretty good. I ended up breaking the plastic tab and had to drill the damn thing out to put the new one in. 2 hours for what was supposed to be a 20 min job, kms. Was gonna do the driver's side but it was humid af and just didn't want to go through the process again. Luckily all my lights went away, I have traction control and ABS again.

This past weekend my buddy wanted to take the E36 for a few laps, couldn't say no and sat in on a ridealong. It's amazing what these cars can do stock. It was really cool to see what it could do in the right hands, I just don't have the proper skill set.
