Just checking in. Its cool to see everyone's working on something, springtime is coming up fast, can't wait for some warmer weather!
Anyways, the wheel project is going to have to be put on hold yet again. I have to fix the power steering pump leak(s), possibly rebuild the pump, and take care of some oil pressure gremlins.
.
well...I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong

Currently looks like junk but in the process of calculating wheel size/offset for the new setup. Hoping to make it more exciting.
Also picked up a new project

Trying to pick out wheels now for my e92. Just got done with all my performance mods and I'm content with the power.
Spring seems like it will be here tomorrow and my car appears stock.

I actually bring my new car home tomorrow. It's aesthetically stock for now but I am ordering wheels/coilovers for it this week so it won't look stock for long! See the build thread in my signature for more info![]()

Let's get all these cars running well again everyone!!!!!
I have decided PS is just going to leak, due to soft OEM hoses and loose OEM connections. Replacing them with AN-style fittings may or may not fix the problem. Some people still have the PS boil out of the reservoir, so a catch tank for this is implemented in some cases... and not trying to do all of that right now haha.
Oil pressure gremlins are still there, but discovered some probable reasons why. This probably has something to do with either the "loose" bearing tolerance spec in the engine or the electric oil pressure sensor's location on the engine block. Electric oil pressure sensors that are on the engine can "catch" the engine's vibrations and send incorrect readings; not always, but sometimes. A way to fix this would be mounting the sensor remotely off of the engine; like on an oil filter relocation block. The sensor is also T'ed into another oil line, so this line may be "stealing" pressure from the pressure sensor as well.
I dunno... just working on installing some new wheel studs for the time being.

Lol my ps is an issue too. Rack boots leaking, ps reservoir leaking, axle is shot, was from steering in general causing no power steering
Coils are kinda siezed so can't raise the rear the 1/2" I want and lower the front to where it needs to be
Think a strut is blown too.
Oh and I'm still on a base map getting 12mpg highway until tune on the 14th....fucking annoying money pit but I can't leave it haha
