haha I have been reading that thread for days already...I think I am at page 83
I appreciate the help. I have been looking for some Works with tires used but Kansas isn't the kinda place to find a large selection of better quality wheels.
So, 18x10 is a good size? and what offset should I be looking for to not have clearance issues with the coilovers? Also, is there a camber kit you guys recommend?

As far as setting the negative camber required, is this something most alignment shops will do? Just want to get it right the first time out.

As for the coils, I will take your suggestions. What are the larger springs for? I noticed now that they have super sport and super sport+ and procomp 2 and 3. SO which should be the ones I should choose? My goals are relative comfort and low, all street and no track.

I would like to say that the stance and fitment scene is what brought me back to cars. I had been out for 12-14 years but seeing cars like the ones here has reinvigorated my desire to mod cars again. Thank you

18x10 is def a good size. shoot for offset in the high 20s or the low 30s. best thing to do is look at a few other subie setups and get a feel for what u like. most of us dont have clearance issues. the stance's will come w/ camber plates for both front and rear. i still recommend getting camber bolts to double up on all 4 corners for max camber adj (besides, camber bolts are cheap)

some shops will do it, some simply wont. this is why i learned how to do all this stuff myself. i dindt wanna deal w/ bs some shops give cusotmers, and i was sick and tired of paying $100 per visit, and sometimes id visit those shops twice a year!

the larger springs are for those who dont want to be too low. in my case, i wanna dump the shit out of my car so i went w/ 150mm springs. if youre unsure ... go w/ 175mm to be on the safe side. (200mm is stock size). super sport = GR+. super sport+ = GR+ PRO ... i think its just a simple name change. i ignored the super expensive ones w/ the external reservoirs ... they are useless to me since i dont compete. if u wanna be comfy and low, go w/ my exact setup:

GR+ coilovers w/ helper springs in the rear
    7k/5k
swift springs (150mm. or 175mm if u dont wanna go TOO low)

welcome back to the car scene

Thanks for the help! Looks like I am set. All I need now is to find a set of wheels.

You guys wouldn't happen to know Keao_15's wheel specs?

Hey guys, i have a 2002 wrx and im interested in getting the xxr 527 , but im not sure what size to get for a good fitment, is the 18x9.75 + 30 offset going to be too wide?
i want a bit of poke but i dont want it to be excessive, this is my first time "stancing" my car and i dont want to buy the wrong wheels, any feedback would be great
    Thanks alot.

Its a good idea to just move the harness up out of the way. I did when I had my STi. The Gramlights that were sold with the car were 18x10 +30 with 255/35/18

I just pushed mine up higher on top of a little metal "shelf" and held it in place with zip ties. Only took 5 minutes.

    OK, I'm back
This is for a 2002 WRX.

I just bought a set of 3pc DTMkreuz 5's wheels that I am having new barrels and lips built for.
There was something I was wondering, what would be the ideal offset for a 18x10? I can't really figure out what would be perfect? I like
Kaeo_15's and evilchargerfan's cars and they were what I was shooting for. I would also like to run a 255 minimum.

Evilchargerfan said between high 20's to low 30's and Kaeo's running 18x10 +33, so what should I get for best fitment? Do I need different
offsets front to back as well?
I figure if any one knows it will be one or all of you guys.

    Thanks

I run a 245/40 on my 17x9's. et38 on the wagon. Its about the most I can fit on the slight pull that I have. So in terms of a sedan on an 18x10 I wouldnt want to push anything south of ET20 on 255's.

OK, so no +18! Thanks Subielove.

So what would give me the sickest looking fitment? +25 front and back? maybe a different offset for the front and rear? I know it needs to be
between mid +20's to low +30's but where? Is there a difference between front and rear for the perfect offset? I am going to be spending a
tidy sum to rebarrel these wheels and would like to be as spot on as possible with a little or more poke.
    Thanks

I bought a set of 18x10 rims, I am looking for a good tire stretch no poke this year. I ran a 225/40/18 on my 9.5 last year. Now looking for a really good stretch without poke on my 18x10's. What would be your guys idea for the best tire. I am thinking 245/35/18. Will that be about perfect stretch? Didn't come up with many images in my search. Thanks

    this is my current as it sits: 3GS, coilovers, 20x9 +20F (225s), 20x11, +15R (255s) (all 4 corners shaved)

My camber kit for F+R is in the mail and i am hoping i can make these work, especially the rear as they seem to look pretty damn wide at this point. I called a few shops to see if they can shave the inner hub area to make it sit closer to 0 offset, but no luck. what do you guys think? The guy that shaved my fenders said no rolling/pulling should be necessary to make these fit. I want to roll static without having to replace tires every 3 months

if you shave the inner hub it will make the wheel offset Higher not lower... thus farther away from 0 offset.. I don't get what you are trying to do there

sorry lol i meant higher, i dont know why i was thinknig of it backwards. im trying to make it sit closer into the well so i can minimize the amount of camber i have to run to make these fit properly in the rear

what do you guys think about having way more poke in the front than rear? (more negative offset)
