I feel that you get what you pay for. If you get some cheap replicas, they might come out costing you more because of the problems they will give. I rather buy a less expensive wheel and just wait until I can afford to get the real deal. That is what I am doing now.

^lol agreed unless it gives you the runs....
For someone who is getting in to the whole stance scene, I would rather run fakies with spacers and be able to beat them up by trying different tire sizes....etc than spend a grip of cash on some custom width/offset wheels and not be satisfied...
Once I'm comfortable with how aggressive i decide to go, then I'll drop the cash on some "real" wheels
i have legit 3 peice super advans which i hate amazingly. And being from australia it is hard to find any legits wheels that are cheap at all, let alone in good offsets. So i agree with everyone else, if you got the dollars buy the real deal, if you cant afford it (like me being a student and all) rock the fakies. As long as it looks good who cares.
just a thought/question: for those who rock Rotas, are all their designs replicas of others. I would cosider those reps/not authentic. Neither bad nor good, just saying.
WFC #3334: aka Matzo Ball Soup
what do u consider fake wheels.. i mean really how many different higher end name brands have exact copies of eachothers wheels a perfect example is the work euroline DH vs SSR vienna Dish.. exact same wheels just different emblem caps so whats fake there??
at the end of the day you own your car, and its your choice on what u want to rock and if your happy with it... we all here at the end of the day and there is no need for hate.. rock what u can afford, and if its baller great.. if not be happy with what u got...
own home> baller car...
i cant really vote. Id say im half and half.
I personally have had plenty of 3-5000 dollar sets of wheels, but at the same time, with the quality of the roads, id be all for buying both anymore. A real set, and some la gears to rock and not worry about breaking the fancy shit on the turd ass roads around here day to day. Ive really been looking at those grids more and more vs stock wheels but who knows..
I dont really get the whole hating on shit though, who cares, its your own car do what you want to it. Paint the wheels green and air brush cocks on each spoke, its not my car to decide what it should have ya know..
Id rather have some cheap ass rotas to pass motherfuckers in the grass and shit. hahaha.. I totally would too, "fuck it if it breaks my ccw's are at home". Or i could just drive around and not worry about potholes and the bmx jumps in the road around here. Shit is seriously garbage. Every time i hit that shit in my car i scream WHAT THE FUCK, GOD DAMN IT. and shit.. I am on my stock turds right now waiting on more wheels to arrive, and whenever i blast jumps and shit, i start laughing about it. haha..
My TL was not even fun to drive, i had to scout out my route before i went. Like i would know what lanes to be in and where i could go or where i could not. "want to go to subway for lunch", "want to come to this cruise inn tonight" UHH, YOU BETTER DRIVE DUDE, THAT ROAD SUCKS COCKS. Def happened at least 2 times a week with that rig. Bend or break a wheel, sweet, custom order replacement from japan, wait 10 weeks, send them out to have them electroplated/powder coated, re-assemble them, pucker my asshole when the dude mounted the tires... no fuckin thanks.

I agree with pretty much everyone if u got the money to rock the real deal than u should and of course u are going to get more respect in the stance scene by rocking real wheels versus reps but some of the people in the scene just dont have the money to go out and spend 3 or 4k on a set of wheels......but there is always the option to wait around on a good set of used real wheels it may take a while for the size and offset u are lookin for to come around but its worth it......my personal opinion is to rock the real deal for the baller status
i feel u about it.. im at the point where im rockin the vienna's daily with stretch and swerving all over the road.. im suprised i havent been tagged yet for what cops would think is a DUI... ohh well its the life we wanna live... hence the reason u get a daily (mine 01 tacoma DC) so that way u dont need to drive your car as often...
but real talk.. to each their own... stance is stance and looks great no matter what u rockin on ur car...
agree with this man;s idea...and even if you are a stance veteran it's all in what you want to spend the money on! Again I love my Rotas and get a billion complements and looks, and the money I saved so far has bought me some powdercoated goodies underhood as well as BC Rear Camber plates!!
saw this on a GD STI last night. I didnt know Rota made single lug pattern wheels. looks so more legit than dual patterns.

Not hellaflush nor sortaflush. Just flush.
i run the miro mo2s and they look pretty amazing. no way im gonna drive flush daily on LMs with the road quality around here.
Well, for myself, I'll get just what the opportunity grants me, on my previous civic I had a good deal on rotas, on my 1st NA, I got a set of XXR, gonna hopefully go for banded steels on the current NA.
Fake, replicas, real, I don't think there are fundamentally `bad`rims out there.
But the more it goes, the more I'm looking into used parts, wheels included. I'd rather put 1k$ in a used set of good rims than in a brand new set of XXR.
but mostly because cheap/reps are overdone and I like my car to stand out, so I'm definately not going for the XXR 15x8 ET0 route anymore. I can understand and respect why people do, they actually do look good it's just that EVERYBODY had a set at some point. Dish ain't everything
fake wheels or not...if they look nice and you like them go for it.
i actually just sold my real wheels, jic magic wheels and weds kranze for some fakes. better specs than real wheels, and i was left with extra $$.
it sucks to see broke asses spending every penny they have on their car trying to but real wheels even if they can't afford it. save your pockets! imo my car is not my life. there are other things in life you should be worried about.
fake wheels make broke asses' dreams come true. but they just get hated on because the cocky people that can afford the real deal look down on them......and that's one reason there's hate....
you don't track your car, which is what real wheels are ideally made for. and if you daily your car, rock fakes! it's soo easy! and plus i know about 8 people that live by me that sold their works, weds, rays, grams, etc for some xxr's and rotas. life is too hard no a days to be worried so much about this stupid issue. haha
I don't really mind fake wheels. We aren't all ballers. Even if I was a baller and had the money, there are other places money needs to go like bills.
Who cared, fakes still look sick! Which is all that matters! There's only a few real wheels I really love and would have over fakes, fakes look too good nowadays, the sizes are so good!
Styles.

I think it all depends on age, most of us whether you are willing to admit it or not didn't exactly have a huge bank roll as a teen so what we could adfford was what we got, and if we could get a replica of the going style then why not? But now that I am older and can afford nice things I will not be buying reps ever again.....just sayin.
yea man i got the rota d2, its a single lug pattern, looks way better than seein all those holes
and like most everyone else in here, if you can afford the real shit, you'll get more rep, but if you rock fakes its not like ill look at the car any different, it just wont be as cool as the real shit, :P
